Wow, the LN2 and CO2-methanol are pretty cool <G>.

Put is whatever keeps us above dew point by 1 degree.  If we are ridiculously boosted, this may be a lot of ice or one of the exotic systems posted here.  It's all about thermal capacity and can be reloaded for each run.  Air-to-air would mean drag.  My personal opinion would be for a methanol-ice bath sized to produce the correct inlet temp at full boost. Upping the fuel injection pressure and relocating the injectors can help move the atomization up the manifold and make a denser charge further upstream.  Alcohol systems have a big advantage here.

We use the factory fuel tank -- 4 1/2 gallons -- as the reservoir for the ice & water.  We put in 10-15# of ice and fill the tank with distilled water -- a couple of gallons tops it off.  The intercooler is pretty small -- probably only 1-2 quarts.  Mike built a 3-quart gas tank and mounted it on the right side, sort of under the rider's thigh.

Running 12-15# boost we leave the line with icewater -- and at the end of the short course the water is pee-warm.
