Those pictures were a walk back in time. I was there that year as a teenager with three cars in the Bill Burk camp (Kellison J4 Panther with Mel Chastain (Chasteyes) driving, blown 427 Ford Galaxy 500 and a Studebaker Avanti). I thought the Herda, Cagle and Knapp liner was state of the art. An absolutely beautiful car. And what can I say about Ak but what a terrific person he was.
