How about the awards at the Gas Up?   That's a Hall of Fame -- landracing.com was elected to the HoF a few years back.

Realistically, I doubt it would bring enough people through the door to cover the rent.

I'm not sure where the plans for the Bonneville Museum are sitting these days, but it might make for a nice wing to that, or possibly a gallery at the Peterson Museum.

I doubt it would stand on its own.

The NHRA museum already has a LSR display, or at least the used to. It may be a good place for an LSR Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame,

there is a Hall of Fame.....the Speed Record Club....based in England, but with world wide members....got a Speed Record Hall of Fame....the member are not only running on land, also record breaker who set records on water and in the air are in this Hall of Fame.

Big Al Teague is a member of this Hall of Fame, I had the luck that the SRC asked me to writes his "tribute".....what a honor for me.....

Also in 2007 someone from the salt tried to start a LSR Hall of Fame, unfortunately, the man behind this idea passed away in 2008....so there was a kick off but than the idea died with his founder....this Hall of Fame had not only drivers as members, but also designer, historian and photographer as members...means....four different chapter....

and finally, there are several Motorsport Hall of Fame around the states, which got LSR racer as members....like Talladega in Georgia...Craig Breedlove became a member a long time ago....

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

The rational person lets verified facts form or modify his opinion.  The ideologue ignores verified facts which don't fit his preconceived opinions.
