Eddies Chop Shop, he's the MAN. Relative new guy, built the car himself with LS on gas and is already a 400 mph player. He might have a future in LSR. :-)

Thanks for the nice words. Just faking it till we make it!

No picture of Eddie's car at SCTA site but I think Target 550 is in line to run. What happened?  Sad that Marlo might miss the great salt.

The inbound cars & bikes might get a chance to run, just before everybody else. Nobody is in line to run because they haven't figured out where the starting line will be yet, probably a mile or two back.  The start line was still surrounded by water when we left. As a joke we talked about towing thru the pudles to the line to be first to run after the water dries, could be this week,,,,,,,,,,,or July.

Bummer.  Latest picture from the salt looks like Lake Bonneville.  We will see what the official word is about the event.

Double bummer. Was really hoping Turbinator could get in a return run. And would be great to see Target 550 get dialed in.

Just went to the SCTA site - they're folding the tents.

This is on the SCTI-BNI.org web page Thursday morninh (today):

After only one day of great racing - impound full of vehicles - two rain storms (one on Tues and one on Wed night) has flooded the salt beyond recovery. Workers are packing up equipment and leaving the salt today.

Ron Christensen has been sending pics - here are two you might find interesting.  Think of these as a list of those left standing at the altar.

With hindsight always being 20/20, and with a major storm on the door step , did anyone ever consider closing the course early to qualifiers  and run off the Impound cars on late Tuesday  afternoon ?  Was there a lesson learned here ?
