No doubt you're referring to the time you thought you were mistaken?

I'm kind of embarrassed to ask this as I have attended many events but...I see the news of a 10 mile course for the World Finals. Is the extra course length simply added at the end for shutdown or are there any additional measured miles added?    Thanks, WOZ

No, there'll be just the usual five miles - this is not an FIA/FIM meet where the long course is required.  I'll guess that the mention of 10 miles is to reassure those that feared the course turned crappy sooner.

I wonder if they're using the same starting line that USFRA used for World of Speed.  It was in the general vicinity of the International Course pit area - down towards the freeway.  It required a 120-degree right turn from Land's End to get there.  If so, that would give them some extra room, and could explain how they got out to Mile 10.

The salt is dry and hard.
We haven't had the pleasure of being at Bonneville for a few years, most recently Speed Week '14 which was a lake.
Personally, I've often compared the salt to running in slush. The current course conditions inspire confidence.
We're so happy to be here!

Hopefully we will all read about a 500 mph run.  I know 480 plus was something to see a few weeks ago! WOZ

I am sitting at the 4 1/2 mile marker and I can hear the cars to start their engine from the starting line. You can hear them the entire run! I love it when atmospheric conditions are this way!

If you get any numbers on the #6556 Adler Landspeed D/DS (aka "Double Eagle"), please post.  It definitely won't be in the 400's, but anything over 200 is pretty good for something that's VW-powered!

Thanks,
