Doc Freud,

this time it will be more than birthday wishes to your special day.

This time I have to add a big pack of wishes about your health.

As I didn't heard to much about your condition, I wish you, that your condition and mind will recover to a level,

that once you can join us again at the salt....the place where you belong.

Stay tough my friend and fight for the recovering.

You be in my mind, hope you can enjoy and like the shirt Jon (SSS) and I done for you....

Remember the day after you rode the bike with the biggest smile under the helmet, when we sat together in front of your Motel 6 room....

it's always a long and winding road....but the result counts......come back more crazy

Your friend from far away over the pond

Yep, it's here again Freud, Happy Birthday my friend.
I was hoping you would make the salt this year, but maybe next year.
Take care, get better every day, it will happen.
You are in our thoughts and prayers and on our Salt Talks T-shirt.
How about a pic of you wearing yours...
Luv ya buddy

Many Happy Returns of the day, Freud.  Cherie and I spent more than a few minutes at her timing slip stand talking about how strange it was to have you and Brett (Kepner) NOT there with us.  Hurry back.  We really do miss you.  By the way, Land's End Lynda retires at the end of the season, and I gave her a ride to the start line during SpeedWeek.  She'd never been there.  Anyway, she, too, talked about how much she misses you.

Hurry back.  And again - Happy Birthday.

A quick sidebar story about Freud and this year's shirts:

I spent too much time goofing off and being sick this past spring - to have done a good job of promoting and putting together a shirt for Salt Talks.  Add to that the fact that I knew Nancy was NOT going to be there made it plain to me -- no Salt Talks, from whence I meandered down the primrose path to "no t-shirts".  Then I got to thinking and decided to make some and hope you'll buy them.  I don't remember just how the idea came to fruition, but somehow Pork Pie and Stainless got involved and Voila!  Freud on the back and the Phoenix on the front.  It was our way of paying well-earned homage to a pair of salt greats.  Thanks to both of them, you hear me?

While I was at the salt two weeks ago I mailed four of the shirts to Freud.  I mailed them from Wendover to underline that much more to the good Doc that we miss him out there.

Oh, yes -- please also thank Wheelrdealer and the Lemming team for their support on the shirt.  If you can read the fine print you'll see that Bill Reilly (Wheelrdealer) included a note to Freud.  Kinda hard to read after it got reduced, but I point it out to let Freud know that Bill was thinking of him.

Happy Birthday Freud!

Happy Birthday Doc Freud.

We miss you more than you know.

Get well soon.

Your Friends.

Happy Birthday Doc!

Karen & I can only hope that the well wishes of your friends will give you the strength for a complete recovery.   Your presence, wit and spirit are missed.
