« on: August 28, 2019, 10:42:42 AM »
I just read the fabricator and driver Jessie Combs died in a jet car accident in Oregon..She was 36. Earlier this year she had drive the NA eagle over 400 mph and was intent on setting womens LSR at over 400. I believe she heald the record at 398. She has also drive on the salt in a roadster... there are photos on the net with her holding timing slips. RIP Jessie

We met her 2013. Ed asked if she could license in the 916 rmr. She spent a few days with us till I burnt a piston and she licensed in another  roadster with Celia's suit and helmet. Nice girl, a little full of herself, but what racer isn't. She did some great things in her short life. RIP Jesse :-(

Sorry to hear of this. I hope that the underlying cause can be determined. RIP, Jessie.
