Try the M&H (brand new) 21x15.  Good for 220+.  We've used them to 210.  First time I could ever steer the car.  Love them.

I was wrong.

They're 3.5x22 from Hashim Automotive in Bakersfield.  661-324-4773

Just wondering aloud.  Don't know how heavy your car is, but might a vintage Formula V tire work?  The VW rims are 15".

I think Hoosier might still make them.  They're considered racing tires, so they'll pass tech.

Don't tell whoever you're dealing with what they're for or going to be used for. I heard ( I think on here ) that if you mention Bonneville to Hoosier, they will hang up on you.

That was likely me.

I was at either Black Hawk Farms or Road America - it's been a number of years - and there was a Hoosier rep on site.  I was inquiring as to what kind of weight the tires could support - trying to get numbers.

Once I said "Bonneville", it was as though I had cut a fart in the middle of vespers.

Same story with M&H.  When I mentioned I needed 4 fronts, the "B" word crossed my lips, and he really didn't want to talk to me anymore.

I get it, but I wish they would just let me ask the questions, get the numbers, and leave the question as to whether or not their product will work for my application to me.

Goodyear makes FV tires too and they don't get antsy over application. You might try looking up John Berget Racing Tires. He stocks a good number of low heat cycle used racing tires. He may have what you are looking for. He is located in Delavan, WI.
