Good morning Ron and Slim. Slim is coming in nice and loud. Ron, not so much. Needs his mic turned up or? Sounds like he is sitting on the far side of the room. Or box.  :-D 2 more days. Turbinator finished?

Speed Demon A/BFS:  365 in mile 3, chute out at about 3-1/2.  Talk of an engine explosion on radio.

Are they done, or will they try the "B" engine again?

Ditto on Ron‘s mic. It sounds as if he is being picked up only on Slim’s mic.

I greatly appreciate the commentary and work that it takes to put on.

Cheers,

Jim

This . . .

http://www.scta-bni.org/sw-race-results.html

answers a lot of questions.  Hell of a lot better than waiting late at night for them to be taped up at the Stateline.

We met a lot of first timers (some drag racers) who were bitching about the instant times given on the radio and why some runs were not reported.  And why the numbers were in the thousanths.  Nice guy that I am, I instructed them that all the info on four different courses running at the same time came at no cost and was the best ever.

Don't forget to reward Slim for this.

Tom. Speeddemon ran earlier with their A motor. At mile 3, i think it was 365 or so and then the motor went to pieces, or so they said. I am waiting to see if Flashpoint is going to run also. I might have missed it if it did, but i don't think so.

Speed Demon just ran a 448.508 - with the "A" motor, which is a qualifier on their 423.521 record from 2016!

So, they've still got a shot at the Hot Rod Trophy, but they'll have to add about 15 MPH on their record run tomorrow to do it.

Guess that A motor didn't take that big of a hit from earlier. Or did they hustle to the trailer and put in a new A motor? Got to have a little more UMPH to beat turbinator.
