It was a great event! Per Tim:
RUNS - 628
RECORDS - 295
AVE SPEED - 159
2 - CLUB - 11 NEW MEMBERS!
Fast Car - Jason White of Recmech - 259.507
Fast Bike - Edward Foy of Foy Bros - 241.663
making this the first event with cars running faster than bikes.
We hope to see you all again this fall for 4 days of racing on August 30 - Sept 2.

Its been a while since we raced at the Maine event but each time we return theres more great changes. Everyone in our crew had a super time and when we were done running two cars we had 8 records the tops being 200.927 by our Flathead Ford powered RMR the first ever 200 MPH pass by a roadster bodied race car powered by a Ford Flathead. We are now tuned up for Speedweek. Setting records and actually receiving the record certs and timing tags before leaving the event is another great part of the Loring experience. No waiting up to two years or more for the stuff LOL
Thanks to all the LTA crew and especially Tim and Joe they go out of their way to make the experience a pleasure.

i also want to thank everbody there. we had a successful set of runs with that tailwind on tbe last day, when cams, carbs, pipes, and timing all came together.
bumped both tbe mile and mile and a half records with a 65 triumph bonneville, to 130+ and 134+.
leaking oil from everywhere now
