WJ is going landracing.

You might find this link interesting. Ambitious I think. Plans on bumping the E streamliner record to 370mph. Mariani holds it at 307.

He's talking about the E/Unblown Gas Streamliner record.

I think this guy:  http://speedtalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53782

may be involved as he keeps talking about Wj in this and prior post few years ago. Ex costella/Yaccouchi car ( or are they still involved).  The think WJ doesn't understand about his theoretical 300mph Pro Stocker is that it is not legal in any class I don't think but that is neither here nor there with starters with more power than the mentioned small block.

Interesting to say the least. Maybe it will happen...maybe it won’t. All I know is that saying it and doing it are 2 entirely different things. As someone said.....if it was that easy we would all be doing it!!!

It is going to be fun to watch! At 3 hp/cu.in. that is 780 horse power, it is going to take a pretty slick car to make 370 with that power. Costella and Yacoucci ran 348+ with their blown/fuel G motor and I would bet that it was making somewhere in the 650-700 hp area an additional 100 hps is not going to make 370 mph. If WJ makes the August meet I am going to be really disappointed that I will miss it as it will be very interesting! (Duke and I are signed up for the USFR meet in September.)

One to two minutes at full throttle is not 6 seconds.

History is littered with people that were going to turn up & go a swillion mph.... & didn't! You have to be pretty sharp to outrun those who have years in the game.

Keeping a big power motor together running at max power/max rpm for 45 seconds is a BIG challenge if everything else goes right.

Getting a record at 370 is going to take 1000 hp minimum. More like 1200 to be safe.

Costella/Yaccouchi 788 car is still running with new turbocharged 258sbc. Very hard for me to believe it would be at SW with LS power. I thought maybe the Kent Fuller car was the car in question.

I believe the G record was set in the NT2 car. Different car from the 788 that Rick is running now.
