I don't know all of the records set, but I'll be posting Mike's Impound report as soon as I get it.  You might be able to find out now on the SCTA site, but I haven't looked.  I suspect we'll have the report in a day or three.

Interesting to see how many of those bike records were set on incredibly low M class minimums.

on another note.  How awesome was it for an opening meet to run that smooth?  Two rounds first day,  that hasn't happened in a few years.  Perfect conditions and everyone did a good job of keeping things moving.

I did some fun fact finding last night and it's revealing to say the least. I'll give you one quick one........

The average speed over the minimum across the 13 open M records set was 16.36 mph.

I'll have more at this Friday's Board meeting

Yup, the meet flowed smoothly.  Seems like all or most that are running now are clued in and know the procedures.  Better track meant no spins so no time spent tending to those.  Everyone had a good turn out that I'm aware of.  The only thing I'd like to see improved would be getting those that are chronically late on chute deployment to get them out sooner just so they have that much more margin for (preventing) error.  I hope June goes as smoothly.

I was afraid I was going to be late on the chute,  then I was worried i'd be early cuzz I was thinking about being late.  Faster speeds than I am used to different timing.

There's a lot of manpower involved in making an El Mirage meet run smoothly. 18 stationary patrols plus timing tower and starting line personnel watch over the course. Having Larry Haney back at the top end calling the "course is clear!" freed up one extra official to roam the course and tend to potential incidents quickly. Pat, Billy, Lee, Rick and Van put in quite a few miles last weekend! Craig and his crews in the rescue vehicles are ready within seconds to "pounce" if needed. It takes a village . . .

Not a record but fun to watch nonetheless
