9" Ford 2.56:1 ratio 28 spline Ring and Pinion.

Hi all,

I am new here to your board, but have out to the salt many times as a spectator.  I tend to be out on the motorcycle days.

A friend of mine has a gear set that may interest the group...

Ford 9"  ratio is 2.56:1 (16 tooth pinion, 41 tooth ring), the pinion has a 28 spline input.  This gear set shows that it has been installed and run for a few miles, but removed shortly after.

The gears are as new.

If there is any interest I can get a few photos for you...  in the box they came in.

Best Regards,

Jim

May not be a Ford but aftermarket. Fords were usually 2.47. Could be one used by NASCAR since they had made many "unheard of" ratios. Pontiac 57-63 did have a 2.56 and were very similar to the Fords in appearance. A set got me in the B'ville 2 club.
