I think there may have been three roadsters, but one broke early

Great Video!

Can anybody tell me how far apart the sideline flags are at the Lake (not the width of the track)?  From the video, they look to be close together, maybe 500 feet, at least those we could see.  They are 1/4 mile apart at BMST. I would like to see sideline flags closer together at Bonneville.

Am I the only one?

Tom

1/4 mile apart, the mile markers had Austrlain flags on them so you know what country the salt is in and for wind direction
timing from two to six on track one, and the track runs out to nine miles
track two, short course only, timing from one and three quater to two, track runs out to three miles

What a terrific film of the salt flats in OZ. It really looked like Bonneville in the 1970s. Well, maybe the vintage of the cars is different - but, the racers are the same. What a logistics challenge, too. You can't just drive there from the midwestern United States. Also, just loved the details on the beautiful motorcycle streamliner Valerie Thompson is riding.

FYI

The Aussie Flathead liner body is from Gerald and Don Arivett's molds of the Dempsey electric middle weight class International Record Holder, rented by the engine builder.

After their return to the states Gerald sold them to Don Ferguson.
