Jon,I miss the right side display of new posts, it was easier to see what was new than the new board. Might just be me---
Bonneville 2001,2002,2003,2004,and NO stinking 2005,DLRA 2006, next?
Well, sure can't complain about 2008--6 records over 200 and 5 hats from Bonneville,Bubs, and El Mirage for the team!

No not just you, had quite the time myself until I realized I had been missing posts when I hadn't been checking regular and the board had been active.  New way kind of forces me to take a good look at all the boards for activity, something I seldom did under the old system while just looking for a quick speed fix.  Now that I've gotten by the adjustment hurdle I wonder how much I would use or rely on the right side display even if it were to be reinstated.  Think Jon said a new home page is in the works anyway.........

I really like that you can click on "Show unread posts since last visit." and get them all in one place. If you haven't visited for a while you can cherry pick the ones you want to read and leave the rest. By going to the end of each subject and working back you get to where you last read or you can refresh your memory on a subject which is sometimes necessary with us older folk.

Person's Location...
« Reply #36 on: December 17, 2006, 10:23:20 AM »
I miss the person's location, where they live.  It was on the old board, wasn't it, or am I losing it .

I keep looking over there to see the state or country.

c ya,

Sum

Gosh.  I remember where I'm at.

Usually.  :-)

Actually, I'll bet it's just something that hasn't been turned on yet.

Ok I put together the code to show members location now. If one is NOT shown then the user does not have the location entered in their profile.

It show show above post count.

Thanks Jon. I think the new layout is doing great. :-D

Another thing you might look at when you have time is the "comments" area in the picture gallery, it won't let you post comments about a photo but shows a place for it. It worked on the test site but not here.

I could use a spell check too...

Thanks again for all the hard work!

Had figured loseing the locations was just part of the "price of progress" so hadn't mentioned it.  Had really missed them so THANKS for reinstateing them.

Sure is nice in this day and age to have a system available where the sugestion not only gets read but acted upon, in less than 24 hrs yet.

Site just continues to get better, THANK YOU, all the hard work is very much appreciated at this end.

Thanks for the "location" again  :-).  I was kind of leery of mentioning it as I know you have been working hard.

Did you get the streamliner??
