I think the motor mount bolts are hollow for two primary reasons:

1.  Weight savings (while still being large-diameter to engage the aluminum frame over large areas, and resisting potentially-destructive torque during installation);

2.  Marketing (trying to impress anyone who sees/knows that the bolts are hollow).  Remember what "Hayabusa" means.  Birds have hollow bones.

That's what happens when you let A.I. do the design and then use an additive metal 3D printer make the part. Weird!!!

It's obvious to me that the competitors who have the money for hollow titanium bolts are the same ones with the "hollow heads" who come down to El Mirage, don't attend drivers meetings, and drive out the back door because the have so much "new " horsepower....
