Just saw this on their Facebook page:

Setting up a new facility will take a lot of time. Some extra help in tech Thursday would be appropriated. If you are interested let me or Cj know. Help setting up is also greatly appreciated. Going to do our best to have a fast moving event.

The weather might be less than ideal Friday & Saturday.  It is still cool here, we had snow last Saturday, so early mornings will require coats for sure.

This really PISSES ME OFF to read this as I wrote to them about 2 months ago and volunteered to help with tech and they said they did not need me and basically blew me off.  So I committed to a car show this weekend instead.  now they are asking for help??? :?

Heck our car is ready to go BUT like most LSR roadsters theres only rear wheel brakes and a couple of chutes so we wont pass inspection oh well.  Have to pass on the event always looked forward to running an ECTA event but thats no longer going to happen.

Hey - it's cloudy and about 70 in Decatur Indiana - three blocks from Lingenfelter's shop.  We'll fetch Mike's car and head for Blytheville in an hour or so.  The forecast looks super-duper for today -- since we haven't seen a "natural" 70++ degree day in months.

See youse guys later, hey?

It's a warm and windy Friday morning in Blytheville.  Windy as hell.  Mike is tardy to get us to the track, but you betcha we'll be there soon and maybe even letcha know what's going on.  I expect the first two hours will be walking around and howdy-ing a zillion people, but I'll get on here with some scoop for you.  The forecast is for warm and windy today, maybe some overnight rain that oughta stop by 8 in the morning, and then cooler tomorrow and downright cool on Sunday - but sunny.

Further deponent sayeth not.

Dan Stokes is here!

And here's a car with an exoskeleton (thanks to Woody for the apt terminology):

Hey - how'd Freud get in here?  This is from last summer.

Flathead power. . .

It's windier than a bugger -- 20 gusting to 30 or so headwind.  Not much tuning going on - it's pretty quiet in the pits.  Tonya says hi, Rosie (relly -- he's here) says hi, and so on. Geez -- I didn't think that many people knew me.  I'll post more as the time passes.

Oh, yeah -- Nancy had to stay home so Sandi came with me (in case you see her in a pic and you're wondering if Nancy got her hair cut really short and dyed red).

I think that's the first time I've seen someone building a rollcage with a higher degree of concern for the safety of the car than its occupant.

It's just about done raining and the wind has come up.  Ot's gusty and might not be good for racing but it'll dry the track in a hurry.  In the meantime. . .

And it's an official race.  I just got a scolding from Kieth Turk - and I was driving Mike's support truck.  Sheesh!
