Be patient, my children.  I had to plow a coupla feet of heavy snow and it was heavy.  And it was snow, too.  I'll show you later.

I opened the door Monday morning and was greeted by this:



I applied a bit of snow thrower - the snow was crappy and hard to blow, for sure - and the doorway view had changed:



Then it was time to get the truck out of the garage.  For some good reason I chose to do the truck move before getting the Bobcat and plowing.  Start and warm the pickup's engine for a minute or so, select full 4WD, click the garage door opener and look at the frickin' 2-3 foot deep snow between me and the 4-foot bank of heavy moist snow left by the Road Commission's plow earlier in the day.  Wholly Cow, this is gonna be something, I thunk to myself.

Drop the trans in gear, let the slack out of the drive train, and STAND ON IT yelling Ramming Speed!!!.  I was doing well but lifted a bit as I neared the road - didn't want to do a banzai into the ditch and forest across the road.  That was a minor error -- I came to a quick halt in the middle of the mess, and I sure as heck hoped I could back out because I couldn't get the doors open in the snowbank.  But it was okay - I backed all the way into the garage for another full pull, and this time made it to the road.  I stopped to take this photo.



Remember the old saying (common up here in the U P):  April Blizzards bring May lizards.

I have never experienced snow like that before (and there is no hint of disappointment in that statement).

Here in the South East UK it is unseasonably spring like. The view of our yard has a little less snow.

Yea... The lawn has already been mowed 3 times... once before AU, once by the neighbor that was mowing to get out of the house and mowed mine too and I mowed a week ago.... yep it needs it again.  Hopefully last night's 28 is our last freeze so I can get the garden in.
On the bright side the wheat is 18 inches tall and it looks like the wet winter was good for it.
