Freud, that's great news that you're progressing. Keep up the good work, you're needed on the salt next year and for all the other great things you do.

Taken from Freud's Facebook page....

Hi everyone,

This is Rose Freeman, Freud's granddaughter. Thank you all so much for sending your love and prayers <3 <3 You're welcome to comment on this post and I'll read your notes to him!

Freud had a stroke yesterday at his physical therapy appointment. He had a tear in the carotid artery. They took him to the Swedish hospital emergency in Edmonds, Washington. He had several tests done yesterday (cat scan and echo-cartiogram) and was stable. When I visited him, he immediately recognized me and asked if I brought my kitty Kailey to sit on his lap. Then, he asked me if I took pictures of the supermoon the night before. He was moved from the Emergency room and joked about riding backwards and doing donuts down the hallway in his hospital over to the third floor. As the day went on, he continued to carry short conversations with people and he recognized that he had a stroke.

The left side of his face looks much better today and he is resting. Doris is in good spirits and is grateful for your kind words. He will have an MRI this afternoon. The next couple days will determine a lot about his recovery. As I know more I will keep updating you on his account here. Please feel free to share this post. <3

Much love,
Rose Freeman

From Glenn's Facebook page - January 7th - as documented by Rose -

"My doctor says that in order to recover from a stroke you have to be stubborn." -Freud

Last night Freud partied late visiting with his son Gary Freud. This afternoon Glenn is awake, telling stories with Nick Genet, and scheming about how to update about Target 550 next.

Freud:"Did you have any regrets about letting me ride your bike?"

Nick Genet: "No regrets. Actually, one. The only regret I have about you riding my bike is that we hadn't done it sooner, so that we could have done it for more years. But, at the end of the day, we did it."

Thank you for the messages and prayers, it means so much to have your support.

In case you missed my update yesterday, he is out of the hospital and now at Genesis in Everett, Washington. His doctor yesterday reviewed his charts and was surprised with Freud's general appearance and improvement since Wednesday. He still has no movement to his left side but can speak well. He enjoys your messages and visits!

Much love,
Rose Freeman
