Freud
« on: January 02, 2018, 06:15:35 PM »
Marlo just informed me that Freud had a stroke some time last night.  He is currently in the hospital with one side not functioning and unable to speak.  I'll update this as I learn anything.

I do not know Freud and am not a racer. I wish him the best in a complete recovery. I come here to learn about LSR but I do know something about strokes as I had one in Aug. 2013. Everyone's symptoms are different. If you EVER THINK you are having a stroke get to a hospital. There is a drug called TPA that can reverse the effects of a stroke BUT it must be administered within 3 hours of the first symptom. I feel I would be in a wheelchair if a young Dr. had not diagnosed me properly. I could not open my eyes without throwing up, I was that dizzy. Couldn't walk either and it happened instantly. I was in ICU for four days. TPA thins the blood drastically and dissolves the clot. On the forth day I was able to walk out of the hospital. It turns out mine was caused by a bruise on my leg. I have absolutely no after effects from either the stroke or drug. Take Freud's situation as a warning, we are all getting older. If you THINK it's a possibility get to a hospital. Again, best thoughts for Freud.
