I think they could be right... but a naked 1000 has been 186 at Bonneville... one way pass, too much headwind the next day... and I think 190 in the dirt.  No these were not production bikes... but from the description, neither is that one  :-o
Interesting bike, thanks Mike

Nah, perhaps the fastest naked bike from an OEM?  Lots of people have been a lot faster on naked bikes.

I have only been 230+ mph on my naked 1000cc bike however the record we set is 226+

At 187mph naked how do they hold on?   :-o

Isn't it easier to hold on when your turbo is sucking all the air around you in and creating a vacuum

Yea... I'm not that impressed either... but I guess it is factory stock (prepped)

Good to see you are paying attention John and visiting occasionally.... do you still have the fastest dirt bike?

Stainless,

Ralph made one pass faster than me at ElMo however it was much more fasterererererer  :)

I still have the fastest AMA, Bonneville and ElMo dirt records at this time.237+ 2-Way, 226 SCTA Bonneville on my 1000 and 243.9 at El Mirage a few seasons ago.

I am retiring on my racing and will be selling off nearly everything.

It has been a good run on records. It will not be the same without you racing.

Maybe those folks designing the Brutale need to learn something about aerodynamics.  That tall tank pushes the rider up into the wind stream.
