Spreading our celebration out over two days. We'll be with Kate's family this afternoon - KP duties divided between the attendees. I drew spuds, so there's 8 lbs of Wisconsin Russets awaiting my dull paring knife - trying to avoid a potential trip to St. Joseph's and a reintroduction to their fine staff in the emergency facilities.
Usually the Friday after Thanksgiving is absolutely dead at work, but I've set myself up for some potential over-the-counter business -

It's usually more than just a get-together, but this year, I'm truly thankful. Two of my brother-in-laws have found new positions in their fields - not an easy transition for gentlemen in their late 50s. Both of my sisters have recently gone through divorces, but 2017 was the year that they've made their peace, made their decisions, and the future is looking considerably brighter for both of them. Dad's doing well after an aneurism surgery, and Mom's in pretty darned good shape, which I know, because she's still cranky about things.
Happy Thanksgiving, all.
