Yes it has been quiet here... the car will not make SpeedWeek... still body building and a lot of other work to be done.  I took the car to Denver for sheet metal work and then joined it last week to do fiberglass.  Pictures to follow soon, a little busy right now.
Yep that means I have a pre-entry to sell to you or the SCTA...
I will be at SpeedWeek crewing for Ross (MC2032)

We all understand the amount of work its takes to do any of this is simply huge.  Now on the bright side you will be able to relax at Speedweek sort of taking a vacation from working so much on the car we all need a brake at times.
Working in the shop I use the 'F' word a lot. No not that word these words Focus and Finish go Fast and Flathead Ford!

Hardly know where to start... so I'll throw out some pics of what is/was happening.  We will start with the nose.  You saw the bare piece... from there it got paint... then fiberglass then gel coat... may get more gel coat... or a skim of body mud to smooth it all out.

It is getting some sheet metal as well... using .063 aluminum... you might be able to see the direction we are going
The canopy hinge is installed and I came home to get ready to go back.

Stainless,
Looking great! Good progress, you are getting down to the "only about a hundred 5 minute jobs left" area which of course there is no such thing as a 5 minute job it means you have plenty to do.
Looking forward to seeing you at the salt.

OK, since we weren't going to get anything done for a couple of weeks due to SpeedWeek and travel we put the nose on a box and pushed it to the car... just to get an idea of how it is going.  Yes the nose needs trimmed about 2 inches to square it up...
As we build the body, we are are changing our plan as we go....
I am home now, but headed back to work on the body in a couple of weeks.  Of course Dave will be working on the parts we already re-thought and hopefully improved
