Welcome to the (new) machine.

Now stop upping records and let the new kids have a turn  :-D

Not to worry... we will probably go after one of our own at World Finals.... not the G... waiting for you and John Goodman so we can have a G lakester shootout  :-o it will be fun...

Dang! Wish I could be there to see Stainless and John Goodman go at it hammer and tongs.

Well you might have noticed I was John's crew chief on his car's debut in 2017 and he was on my crew this year for Bockscar's debut... we have shared parts, equipment and information...  :clap  it's the Bonneville way  :clap  we may need to run well spaced.... as I may need John's help and he may need mine...
Oh, I know how to make that work... we will put one of them in impound
I think it will be fun... especially if Lemming John joins the fun.... and the best part... you can be there SpeedWeek 2021

Well Jerry, I sure hope so... Started planning this car when I ran 246... JB's crash just pushed me into action.  The G motor is waiting for its turn... the I blown motor should have more in it... but I guess that's why we actually go racing...  :?
Both need good salt, but to be honest the car felt solid... OK a little too solid... but you know what I mean... steered well through the crappy parts... when the soft spots moved it, I could move it back... and the best thing... I didn't run over any signs or markers although a couple tried to jump in front of me.  I guess we will see what the future brings....
We might run Gas at World Finals... event gas... planning on a little dyno run to sort out a few things... new turbo is on the way... if it is a bolt on, we will be good, if not we will save it for next time... not as much time as you think to the next race.
Feel free to drop by for a beer...  :friday

Thanks Justin... I'm sure Pork Pie will appreciate seeing those, he was concerned about proper stance for best aero.  The stills I shot appear that the suspension in the back settled a little over the week... or the shock stiction kept it from rising after the last run.  Hard to tell because the suspension was so stiff... working to make it a little less so....

Jerry...  OK, I get your point there  I will drink yours in hopes to catch up with your personality....

My machine, although steam-powered, doesn't have those cute little junior high cartoons in it.

F'n fantastic Stainless for a new car, but you have been at this for a while.
A thought on the springs-- You could grind a bit off the OD of the springs to
reduce the spring rate.
I don't know how much though.

Better yet, let?s put them both in impound. I think we can both qualify for a record return run, on the same record, at the same time, right?
