Sorry guys, it's been a little busy around here...The 130 run shook a lot down... The suspension is a little too stiff... need to find lighter springs... course 2 was very rough the first day... they drug it and the starter (Nick III) said it should be smoother... I told him not to take offense, but I was going to get off his course if I could... 191 Q and my friend Barc wanted a 200 MPH ride... ticket was 198, but crossed the 3 at 202...
The car is running and handling well.  The driver needs one of those less bulky firesuits.
The 3rd run was aborted for wind, 195 Q in that one...14mph was supposed to be from the right at the quarter.... positioned on the right and it came from the left... couldn't get the next marker out of my path, had to steer enough that I thought it might not keep going straight afterwards, so I popped the chute.
4th run was the qualifier... 200 Q...
My plan included a lot more shake down, but I needed to get to smoother salt... so I skipped the 150-175 since it was feeling good and combined that with the 175-200 all in the second run.  We have been doing a lot of inspecting, only found a couple of minor issues to chase... so so far the thrash has been worth it.
Yes it is the middle of the night, woke up and too much running in my head.... ok I think I'll go back to sleep

Timing slips hot off the press.  Not too bad for a new car first time out.  But then again, Bob has 40 plus years of practice.  First slip was the qualifier, second slip is the  return run.  They are in impound getting certified for a new record.  Then guessing they will get back in  line and do it all over again.

Well I have no idea who is taking pictures to put on instagram.... but it seems they always get my bad side.... oh wait... I don't have a good side....  :?
Well I guess it paid off, we got lucky (thanks for watching over us Barc)... The course was drug overnight but it was full of loose and soft spots... hit one so hard I though I hit the parachute...  but it kept going.... was sucked all over the course... the good part is the car drove through those and was very controllable and drivable over 200 MPH... never felt like it was wallowing or had any body roll like the old car did on loose courses.
I think it needs to be heavier, it feels a little light.
Did I mention the firesuit is too bulky... yea I thought so....
It was a good day racing... actually they all are
