Looking for Burke Pumpkin seed pics
« on: August 22, 2017, 11:07:39 PM »
Hoping someone can help with some photos of Bills Pumpkin Seed streamliner (aka 'Golden Commode'). This would be the first version he ran in 1960, gold with the big 'Plastic Dynamics' sponsor on the nose. I have the Sports Car Illustrated article and also one from 'Best Hot Rods' Fawcett #465. Could really use a nice side profile shot and also one from the rear or 3/4 rear view. Anyone at speedweek in 1960? Thanks for any help.

I talked with Jim a coupla times this past week -- and his red hat was cleaner and fresher than mine!

Hi Jon,
Do you think Jim would have any info on the original version? I know it's been modified over the years. Is it possible to get in touch with him? Email? Thanks.

I don't have contact info for Jim Travis -  we only talk when at Bville (or wherever).  Maybe somebody here can help you find him.

Jim ' s son Randy is on Facebook  and he  can contact Jim for you. Jim is now 83 and as ornery  and sharp as ever.  He just moves a might slower.
