Now that I'm back out here, I see I missed at least a couple, including a Chevy E/MP.  And - how could I forget - Ye Olde Dragon - with the biggest single chute pack I ever saw!  It's running on all 3 axles this time, still with the 16V92 Detroit.

Buckeye Bullet came through Tech this morning.  They said they want to do a pre-Shootout shakedown run.  Getting a close look was pretty impressive.  Roger actually sits in a Dallara Indy Car carbon fiber tub that's inside the cage!  First time I've seen a 9-point harness, too.  One of their guys told me it runs at 900 volts and 300 amps!  Anyway, it passed Tech inspection, with no "fix-it for next time" entries in the log book!

The Kiwi's got records in both of their cars this morning, as did the Potter Bros. in their VW TDI V-10 streamliner (made with FlatFire body molds).  They were parked next to each other in impound and made an interesting contrast.  The Kiwi G/GS streamliner is FWD with rear tandem wheels, while the Potter's D/DS is RWD with tandem front wheels!

I had to pull the plug around 1115, but got to see Turbinator launch on its down run.  Although it wasn't perfect, nobody I talked to was complaining about the courses.

We ran over our class record but blew the transmission out. Dam it.

...

Is this the same vehicle that put Doug Adler in the 2 Club in 2012?

I'm not familiar with the Adler car.  Was it VW V-10 diesel-powered?  If so, and it looked like Flat Fire - with tandem front wheels -  it'd be a petty good bet!

Yes - 300 c.i. VW V10.  It is(was?) the record holder for DS-D class (set in 2012).
