I was there in '72 salt was a little damp. Very white and thick. A large puddle where you got onto salt. My truck got very
rusted out in a couple of years. In '71 salt was dry and hard cars laid rubber off starting line and I bent tent stakes trying to drive them in.

The names have changed but the problem is even worse now than it was when that article was written in 1972.  :x

There is a lesson here, never trust a politician ... and "follow the money".
