What are the odds we get cancelled for visibility?

I have never seen a race called for visibility, show up and and run!

70 vehicles here. Tail wind. First 15 or so set records. Noonan got 2 on 2 different bikes I believe. 50 have run. Now a hold for too much wind@ 9:35.

Wind was a steady 30 mph for over 30 minutes when the meet was called. As long as no one was driving there was no visability problem even driving off the lake bed after it was over.

Meet started at 7:40 am, 9 out of the first 10 vehicles to run set records. Steady 15 - 17mph tail wind increasing to 25 - 30mph and turning WSW, meet put on hold after 47 runs, called around 11:15.
A very smoothly run event, with a few turn outs but no spins or other incidents to report. Fastest car was #44 Fred Dannenfelzer's Lakester @ 231 with Pete Prentice driving, fastest bike (and overall) Ralph Hudson "Iron Wood" 237 and change.
Craig Black of Black Racing got his Dirty 2 Club hat in the Mustang, upping his brother Keith's record by .02mph.
Since not every entry got to make a run, there will be no points - and a few of the new records are going to be declined so the teams can have a "fresh" start in July.

Willi,
from the timing trailer.

So, do we make it through an entire round THIS weekend (7/16)?
