I have just learned the sad news of the passing of Bob Nakonieczny from Alan Fogliadini. Bob was a a main stay of the Ferguson Racing always there to help in any way he could generously with time and knowledge. One of his rewards was driving for them and entering the Bonneville 200 MPH Club which he justly deserved. He was Millwright by trade and often we had conversations about his work as our paths crossed. He had a great sense of humor and didn't mind sharing it.... I will miss my friend..JD

Truly one of the funniest guys on the salt or lake bed. Bob was always good for a laugh. As JD wrote Bob was generous with his time and experience. I fist met him when he was working with Al Teague.
Bob was also a member of the El Mirage 200 MPH club driving a Ferguson Racing streamliner.
Joanie and I share Bob's loss with his wife Dianne and the family.

"Did you just fart in front of my wife?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't know it was her turn."
That's what he opened with at the 2 Club Banquet a number of years ago. A all time favorite.

Wow! Sad to hear that. Bob was the life of every party & certainly didn't do any harm in his time at the Teague camp. If there is "the other side", he'll be over there cracking them up, he won't be resting in peace.
