So Im wondering what is going on with this save the salt stuff. Seems like its been really quiet. How about a focus on return the salt which in reality would be saving the salt. Yea I know what a concept.  :-o
Working in the shop I use the 'F' word a lot. No not that word these words Focus and Finish go Fast and Flathead Ford!

Yup - they ARE selling it . . .

If Intrepid flops, then the question becomes, who mans the pumps?

the irony speaks for itself...the racer group...cleaning salt off bottom of vehicles...so
as to help preserve the salt flats...while the mining companies haul it off in tens of thousands of tons..
and also sell it off in rail cars...

I saw a recent photo on the site (I forget which thread it is on ). It looked to me like there was dry land behind the poster. Is Intrepid pumping? It seems like there should be nothing but water at this time

If one reads to the bottom of that article it sounds like Intrepid's days might possibly be numbered.  I'm thinking they probably don't want to put money into pumping if they don't have to,

Like I've said many times,"the pumping will only continue until their profit margin get's too low to continue". When the money is gone, so will the mining. Meantime it's just a one way money machine.
