Rodger Cook
« on: February 03, 2017, 01:46:57 PM »
Sadly, we announce the passing of Rodger Cook, who died last Friday after a nine-year fight with cancer.  We only met him once, to buy his beautiful little RMR that he built along with Dan Perez to capture three records in 2011.  One of these records is still in the books, H/FRMR.  He was a kind, gentle man who loved what he did, and he only reluctantly sold his Roadster to us to help pay medical bills.  I can't think of a more worthy cause for our $$$ to go to.

I know not many of you knew Rodger, just as not too many of you know us yet, but we are proud to say we knew Rodger and are carrying on his legacy by setting two new records in his car this year.  In 2017, we will carry his name on our (his) Roadster in remembrance.

Sorry to hear about Rodger's passing. I had never met him but saw he and the car at Speedweek '13. I bought my D/BGRMR in a similar situation last year as Rod Nestmann was terminally ill with cancer. Hope to see you guys at Speedweek this year.
