Monster Energy drinks:

With Monster Energy being selected as the main sponsor for NASCAR I was wondering if Monster ever paid SCTA when they "sponsored" Speed Week a several years ago? I remember that there was talk that they did not contribute to the SCTA as they had promised. Just wondering.

Rex, whether anyone got any $$ is not in my pay grade details, but I do know that I felt completely and thoroughly compensated for their presence - by enjoying the eye candy girls.  Good enough for this guy! :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:

REx;

I've missed the Monster presence at Bonneville the last few years. Their marketing scheme worked on me- I now buy Monster Absolutely Zero whenever I can find it. The nice young girls handing the stuff out are sorely missed!  :wink:

They lost their big black tent in a windstorm during Speed Week. I wonder if that influenced their decision to abandon LSR promotion?
