27 Ford Modified Fuel Roadster
« on: December 31, 2016, 08:09:29 PM »
First post with my first LSR project. 27 Ford D/FMR for 2018 SW (we'll see). Squared my chassis jig and tacked in my first cross members today. Any Tulsa folks need to come over and offer assistance (for beer of course). Please feel free to offer any advice.

Dan, lemme give you some advice.  The offer of beer for help is great, but you're talking about asking a bunch of yay-hoos that are really good at drinking beer while telling you how to build your car.  See if you can get them to offer to bring beer for you and them when they come to help.  Make 'em treasure the fact that yo'll let them in on such an awesome project.

Yeah.  Really.  Give it a try, at least.

Welcome to the world of having a build diary on the Forum.

If you ever make it up to Wichita there are several projects going on up here.... let me know in advance and I will try to set up a tour...
Next time I plan to be in Tulsa I will contact you.... what kind of beer do you have  :-o  Just checking to see if I need to bring some...  I only drink beer, not much of a flavored water guy...

We trust you are working from a rulebook

Just a heads up, Stainless don't like IPA no matter how good it is.   :?

Looks like a nice set up. I see a SBC sitting there so it must be a Chevy "D". I am a Chevy D motor guy as well.   Nothing weak about those frame rails! Enjoy the build, I'll enjoy following it.

There's a pretty good chance you're building a D/FMR & not a D/MFR.

Dan, this place is full of jokers & I am one of them but in the same breath this is the friendliest & most helpful forum....period. Don't be afraid to ask for advice, LSR cars are a different animal (so are the people ) that have different needs, especially on the salt.
What venues do you plan on running?
