No Gloves :?
Looks like when it was a private event he went with no gloves but I noticed he had gloves on at the shootout.   It was a decent show.  But I thought it was disrespectful that they are acting like the only competition the Triumph has is from Ack Attack.

They (Triumph PR personnel) have chosen to ignore three truly British projects on two wheels, "The 52 Express" - gas turbine wheeldriven bike; "The Angelic Bulldog" - U8 piston powered bike; "Jet Reaction" - the thrust powered two wheeler, as well as ignoring most of the American contenders.

[Did this programme show the 'audition' process for the drivers role which Guy went through with the builder/operator, of what is now billed as a factory bike?]

There are 'lies'; 'damn lies'; and 'clever PR' for this project. However, most Brits applaud what Guy has been offered in the way of speed bids.  These exploits make for good TV.

If searching it is titled Guy Martin: Fastest Man on Two Wheels....  9 PM CST
maybe they should have added maybe next year.... or not

The second or third time I saw the title on TV ;
I noticed > that there is a question mark at the end of it after Wheels.

They should use Spanish punctuation to warn you ahead . . .

I watched the program last night, and although not really that informative, other words not much detail, it would have been OK for someone that didn't know that much about Bonneville.

The fact that there was a story about Bonneville was a big Plus for Bonneville racing in general. If you have ever had anything to do with news or documentaries, you'd know they rarely get it exactly right, most times not even close to right. Bottom line is it was INK for Bonneville, and for that I'm happy. I'd like to see more no matter how accurate the story line happens to be.

One major problem I did have was I'm from Texas and I listen with a "Texas accent", so I didn't understand much of what the narrator had to say, and nearly nothing that Guy said. :?

Racers know the differences, and flaws, but most others will take it as a Bonneville racing story.

Johnnie

I live about 80 miles from Guy Martin and I can't understand him either  :-D :-D

Seriously for a liner built to suit someone else (James Toesland) who is maybe a foot shorter I think he did fairly well.
GM is currently doing something else stupid  :-o He's currently riding a pedal bike round the coast of Scotland trying to average 250 miles a DAY

Cheers

I agree with what ROUSE said,,, we all know, These shows are made to sell adverts on TV time, Your not supposed to come away Knowing anything, Even the speed he went,
Your supposed to watch it, say that was neat, And go buy some of the stuff that was in the commercials !
I also think we are so spoiled, Can you imagine a High Def Special for a hour on Craig Breedlove and the Spirit Of America ?
Instead of that same clip where Breedlove get out of the water and tells everyone, Now for my next trick ?
Or imagine the days leading up to the Blue Flame over 600mph run, Or a weeks worth of Don Vesco getting the Twin Engine
Yamaha silver bird ready  ?
This show is just that ,Foddder to keep the publics interest between commercials.  Of course we could have and would have told them to add in all kinds of things pertaining to Bonneville and His run,  But I for one have it on my DVR and I bet I will watch it a couple more times before years end,The same way I watch my DVR OF Naked Speed with Carl & Mark Bjorkland running his Super Rat Turbo Ducati ,,Just because Its Bonneville, and its Just a Beautiful Damn Place in the world !!
