Trump'd up Help?
« on: November 17, 2016, 12:32:45 PM »
Well, I have come out of My bomb shelter and am amazed that the post apocalyptic World seems to be carrying on.
I am however waiting with baited breath to see who President-elect Trump names as Secretary of Interior and therefor Boss of the BLM.  Amongst the pre-election favorites was a fellow named Forrest Lucas who owns a non-descript company called Lucas Oil and is a member of SEMA.  Rumor has it that He has lobbied for the Job (as in $$$).
  Might He be our Savior?

Oh, Bob, forgivve me -- but I can't help it.  This one's a favorite of mine.

ORB said:  "...waiting with baited breath ..."  Unh, well, no.  Spelled that way would sorta mean that the guy's been chewing on minnows and worms, ya know what I mean?

BATED breath, on the other hand, means like "with your breath held".

Ah, don't worry too much about it.  I hadn't worn the Comma Cop hat in a coupla days and wanted to catch up.

Yes, both of us have been to Bob's house.  It didn't smell fishy when we were there. . .

Do you think Lucas would be against drilling and mining?

Nope, He is the money behind Save The Harvest, the right wing anti-environmental major sponsor of His T.V. Network, MAV T.V. That's why My breath is "baited"... or maybe its the Anchovy sandwich I had for lunch (or was that cat food?).
I would say the odd's are 30/50 not in our favor.  We don't generate enough money or exposure to warrant His giving a sh*t and if He get's the job He is going to be eating Crow with his STH group if He backs Us.  On the other hand He is part of SEMA so "lets give him a chance" (now where have I heard that lately)?                                                                                             O.R.B., out....................................

Y'all do realize that Lucas Oil sponsors the Shootout right?  Last time I looked that was a salt race with a bit of dirt at the ends... everyone involved would like it to be all hard salt.

Yes, both of us have been to Bob's house.  It didn't smell fishy when we were there. . .

Guess his girl friend hadn't been there that day...

At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter who will be in charge.  At the end of the day, this is what will decide the fate of Bonneville -

I wonder:  "At what price per ton does the mining operation become unprofitable?"

  Mea Culpa:
I woke up this morning and realized My fading memory has lost a few more amps.  Forrest Lucas' group is called PROTECT THE HARVEST, not SAVE THE HARVEST.
