Heather also has a family and a full time job. She has a lot to do and she is doing a good job. After the certs are made they have to be checked and then sent to the board for three people to sign, then they get mailed out. Everyone is a volunteer and it takes time.

Glen, I think 15 months to get this stuff out might be a little excessive.  Last time I talked to Heather was in September, she said she would get my timing tag and certificate out soon...

Ya know, when I was running at BMST for a few years, I was lectured repeatedly that SCTA was really the only game in town that was legit. "only SCTA records really count" "the SCTA is the only properly run organization" yadayadayadayada. I got tired of hearing it.  :dhorse:
Ah, this is obviously some strange usage of the word 'safe' that I wasn't previously aware of.  Douglas Adams

Good news at least for me.
I received the 2016 Record certs a few weeks ago. This has been a long journey during which I have learned there's more to this than just sending out some pre printed form. The biggest delay is caused by all the signatures found at the bottom of the cert. To get all those signatures all party's involved need to be in the same place at the same time. So at a board meeting or an event is the best chance for all to be present. Thankfully at the October El Mirage meet all the stars lined up for me at least. I will say I was in contact with Heather and the SCTA president to make this happen a heck of a lot of times prior to the arrival.
Now the wait is on for our 2017 Record cert, trophy and timing tag. At least now I know the process involve so the wait might not be as long once I begin asking where's the cert for 17.   :-)

I'm still waiting for one of my certs from 2016 Speedweek as well. Saw Heather at Speedweek this year and gave her all my information again. Hopefully it isn't lost somewhere.

The only way your going to get the certs is to contact Heather once again and I would also strongly suggest sending an email to the SCTA Pres requesting his help in getting the certs taken care of. To speed things along I sent Heather all of the information found on the records paper work the date of qualifying run and the backup including each speed plus the combined average record speed I did this to help with any missing paper work or what ever.

Can we add the name 2017 Certificates to this thread as I have heard nothing for quite a while.  If we had sponsors they would be a bit disappointed with what we have to show for the hard work in getting the record.  So far only the hand written confirmation from Tech.

Thats a good idea the wait now continues for the 2017 Certificates and timing plate. Received the 2017 trophy so were one third of the way there.

We received the timing tag for 2017 , some time ago. waiting to hear from SCTA on the 2016 paperwork,  since we failed to bump the record in 17 , at least we will avoid the heart burn over the 16 SNAFU.
On another subject I have failed to receive any notice about renewal of my club membership, Has the SCTA dropped this ball as well ?  :dhorse:

You need to contact your club about this. The clubs report and pay membership to the association, the association returns cards to the clubs and the clubs distribute them.

We finally received our certificate and record tag a few weeks back and on Monday 27th Feb I collected the trophy from the shipping company.  Just over 6 months from when we got the record.
