Roadster looking for new home
« on: November 07, 2016, 04:08:33 PM »
Health makes it unreasonable to think I will run it again so I am entertaining discussion about parting with my roadster. Much history. I first saw it at Half Moon Bay in '57. Record on salt in '56. Reconfigured by Al Holoway  to a twin tube low boy and run with a blown SBC. I have run it with a Pinto, Lotus, and 32 Plymouth engine. Records at salt, lake and Muroc as well as Inliners Intl. D/GR record at Fremont during first Nostalgia Nationals. Aluminum is Ron Covell's first full big project when he was at Kent Fullers in Belmont. 1 3/8 dia. frame tubes limits the car to 175 mph. With tilt trailer. 650-345-5221 or PM.
