Thanks for the post.  My first visit to Bonneville was the 2009 World Finals, and Jeff's Buick really grabbed my attention.  I was hooked, and my own quest was soon underway!!

When I first saw this beast I told Jeff that I was sure it was the prototype for the Green Hornet!  :-o :-D
Hope he does well at the auction!

Yep, from the article: On Saturday, October 15, Bombshell Betty, now owned by photographer Peter Lik, will cross the block in a no-reserve sale at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction.

Bombshell Betty has been advertised for sale in recent months, typically with an asking price of $195,000. The no-reserve auction means that Barrett-Jackson won’t publish a pre-auction estimate for the car, though it’s clear that the company is shooting for a price at or even above this number.

Had a good look over the car yesterday which was displayed with all the trophies and timing slips. A lot of car for that money. Let's hope the new owner uses it.

Don is planning on several upgrades , some safety  , like a complete cage overhaul by Thomas Speedworks in West Jordan Utah,  Tom Burkland is involved as well with many areo improvements . Betty will return with high hopes for re-capturing the class record , as well as bumping up the speed and handling of the car, lots of room for improvements , which Don , and his dad are highly motivated to see thru. Stay tuned, and pray for good salt !
