So, we have to click on "World Finals 2016" to find the thread for "World Finals 2017"? Might be beyond some of the more challenged among us........

Shoot.  That'll teach me to try starting topics here at the shop instead of at the house where I've got all the admin words stashed.  I'll fix it later.

I just could not get all my collective schnit together to make WOS. BUT, I am ready for World Finals. Bringing the car (AA/BGALT) and the scooter (SC-BF100 & SC-BG100). I saw that someone took one of our sidecar records at SW so I need to get it back!

Ready to make some shakedown passes on the Breaking Wind Firebird after 6 years without a pass on it.
Breaking Wind #9614
  ECTA Record AA/BGALT 214.8
  SCTA Bonneville PB AA/BGALT 237.4
Breaking Wind "Spirit of Effluvium" #451
  SCTA Bonneville Record SC/BF100 48.931

World Finals Update – 9/28/2017

Due to the rain, Bill Lattin & Pat McDowell went up early to Bonneville to assess the condition of the salt. They met with the BLM this morning on the salt and the BLM expressed that they think the salt is too wet to handle any kind of traffic and do not like to allow anyone on the salt when there is standing water. The SCTA & BNI are in full agreement with them and so we regretfully inform you that we are officially cancelling the World Finals Event. The SCTA & BNI want to thank all of the volunteers, racers & spectators for all your support and we look forward to seeing you at Speed Week 2018. The SCTA will still be running at El Mirage in October & November, so please feel free to join us.
