2016 Bonneville Congressional Tour
« on: September 06, 2016, 07:24:05 PM »
As some of you are aware, towards the end of Speed Week, Save-The-Salt and the Utah-Alliance provided a congressional tour of the Salt Flats.  This is part of the continuing effort to "Save the Salt."  This short video provides an inside look at what transpired.

Thank you RCKirby for posting the short, succinct and excellent video. As Peter said, "Nicely done."

Kudos to the team that arranged for the tour and continued efforts to Save The Salt.

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks RC, Louise, STS and UA for this. I am from Maryland. Have made in the neighborhood of 25 trips to Bonneville since started racing in 1979. I have seen the deterioration as have we all. Not generally much of a letter writer but now with some national exposure and Federal congressional representation, I will be happy to try to jack up my local representatives and senators. Keep us posted about the legislation/bill numbers etc.
Thanks
