Joe Timney/Delaware Chassis Works donated this Kestrel 5100 to landracing.com for Salt Talks. He expected me to auction it off and use the proceeds for the website. But I thought that it was of such value that I'd rather wait 'til we got home from the salt - and then turn it into $$ for lr.com.
Here's what an online ad for it says:
Improved display, processor and data logging. Same dependable measurements, including air density and moisture content.
Optional wireless LiNK communication with the free Kestrel LiNK app and compatible PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
Patented accuracy - NIST-traceable calibration.
Rugged, waterproof and reliable in the most demanding conditions. IP67 & MIL spec rated.
5-year limited warranty and made in the USA.
Retail ranges from the upper $300s to Joe's suggested $296, and I 'spose you can find one cheaper if you give up the options. But that's beside the point.
Joe supports land speed racing - by being in the business. I appreciate his input here and hope you do, too. Here's how to thank him -- offer up a good price for the Kestrel. You'll get a cool addition to your pit -- and you'll help keep the site going.
Please start with an offer no lower than $ - well, no less than reasonable. Thanks.
