Just made my reservations for me and my wife this past Friday at Montego Bay.
Rooms are available at the 3 big casinos (Peppermill, Rainbow and Montego Bay) but let me warn you they are pricey$$$.
Not Mr. Money Bags here but as they say, you cannot take it with you!!!  :-D

I got to thinking.  Maybe GH got the hourly rate, rather than the overnight rate.

Got nowhere to hide there.  We're staying in Ely Thursday.  My favorite town to spend one day a year in.  Don't want to stay there much longer, although the car show -- once-a-year Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the public park, right across from the high school, is a kick.  All the civic groups show up to help promote it  -- the 4H, Rotary, the girls from the Green Door.  Great fun with  12-oz. margaritas for $6 and greetings from the ladies who invite you to visit them later.  I mean -- the whole community supports the event.

For years I've tried to have one drink in each of the bars in that very special little town.  Love the Hotel Nevada -- the tallest building in Nevada (1926).  Its six stories beats out the Mizpah in Tonopah -- a scant 5 stories.  My quest has never been completed -- and now in my failing years, probably won't.  But, who knows.  I hear they're having some sort of race up the highway.  Love to see those old hot rods, side by side, roaring away down the track (with the guy in the pickup telling Andrew Hopkins(?) in the motorcycle to shift).  So much for my memory.

I live in West Wendover. The local High School principal is renting out the rooms of his home during Speedweek 2016. He just informed me that one of the rooms just came available. Contact him at 702-927-3906. His name is Craig and he's asking for $75.00 per night. Hurry, before it's gone...again.

Friends, I have to cancel my Speed Week plans 8/12 - 8/16 (5 nights) due to health issues. This is a double queen bed room and I paid $1076.48 for it. Unfortunately Peppermill will not allow me to cancel so I need to sell the reservation but IT IS TRANSFERABLE according to them. I expect someone will want this reservation. Call, text at 360-631-3171 or email me at peter@topsecretcustoms.com if you want it. Thanks Pete.

Our stay in Wells was good. Sharon Motel was clean, at $69 plus tax and the 60 mile drive to and from was not bad. We rented a 6 speed, 6.4 Hemi, Dodge Challenger, red in color, Scat Pac (I think that was what it was). We went to 3 car washes to get it clean.
