DRW, only been racing Bonneville since 1978... although I worked on my first Bonneville car in 1972, just a kid compared to a lot of guys still racing out there that were seasoned (pun intended) veterans when I started.  I always look forward to seeing my old friends.
I agree one of my favorite liners has always been Max's Black Lightning.

Back to subject, good luck with the quest Valerie, you will be among an elite few that can ride an enclosed bike. One of the pics below had a pic of the first female to enter the 200 MPH Club, riding the bike... and a couple of other streamliner riders  :-D
Yep, the paint is skinned on that bike... a very experienced Don did it, not Marcia

Since the ink on my arm tells me I am sort of a Triumph fan, this photo that Valerie just posted on the Face Page is kind of a big deal to me...

Good luck racers!

Combined they have about 100mph of speed in a streamliner on the salt..

As long as they don't ride over their heads both of them will do fine I am sure.

Guy is a great racer and if the bike is willing he will make Triumph happy.  Valerie is good racer in LSR and Drag racing, the Bub 7 streamliner is a proven machine.  She will have a tough time filling Chris's little however impressive shoes.  :)

Good luck to all!

Looks like Valerie and the team are making sure they aren't running before they can walk. Glad to see them being safe and slowly picking up the pace. Letting Valerie get more seat time before they go for bigger speeds is a good thing.

Hey there... I'm just trying to figure all this layout in the land racing forums... and wanted to take some time to respond to you all. First thank you for all the support!!!!  I have a great team behind me and it's GO TIME!!!  After our official 304.263 mph we will attempt a shot at the overall record mid October.

If anybody can do it, it's you, Valerie. Go for it and get it done.

Howdy, young lady.  I saw that you'd registered -- and wanted to welcome you to the gang of idiots that hangs around here.  First warning -- fill out your profile page with your location - or I'll put one in there for you.  I assure you -- you'd rather fill it in than let me at it.

Good that you've got the bike over 300 already this year.  Be careful!  but - have fun, too.

Congratulations, Valerie!  I haven't figured out how you steer a bike streamliner when you can't lean!

Koncretekid, I asked the same of Sam Wheeler a few years ago. He told me that when you turn the bars to the left and don't lean your body the 'liner will automatically lean to the right and go that way. So I asked "How do you make your brain do that?" He said it's simple. To turn right, you push the right bar. To turn left, push the left bar.  Wayno
