In case you folks haven't noticed, on my travels around our wonderful country, I like museums.
My wife and were through this area last year after Loring and I just did not have enough time to stop for this museum. This area is so rich with history / culture that you could literally spend weeks seeing all the sights.
As I was planning my Loring trip this year, I knew I would be coming back to Groton for this museum.
Well, I came this morning, spent most of the day there today and it did not disappoint. VERY good museum and details the 100+ years of submarines. I will not bore you with details but can say the highlight was being able to board the permanently docked sub Nautilus. This is the 1st nuclear sub and also the 1st one to traverse the Artic Ocean under the North pole. Tour of it is fantastic. I always thought subs would be a little claustrophobic and these early one were.
I can say, if your are ever in the area, please make it a point to visit!

This time it will be the wonderful world of everything Flathead Ford at our own Ronnieroadster's Ron Hobby Shop in Wallingford. REALLY looking forward to this after hearing his MANY stories of Roadsters and Flatheads and seeing his collection of stuff.
As usual with my post, I hope you enjoy!
