Testing today.  1st run was 256 mph in 1.5 miles.  All systems worked properly.  Collecting data and running again later.

Cooks facebook page said testing completed....was 256 the longest run?  Was the salt good enough for longer runs?

New paint scheme looks bad ass!  Good luck George!

The video clip I saw and heard made it sound like the car wasn't finding good traction.  But then -- it was a first run and there's a tad bit of stuff in the car that might have been getting to know itself on a run, too.

We'll find out in person in a couple of weeks.

Well, yanno (I learned that word from Ray theRat, by the way), I've been offered/assigned/given another job out there this year.  Ron Christensen and I are gonna be sharing the announcing duties on whatever radio channel they use this time around.  And that's gonna keep me a bit more grounded than in past years when I didn't have much to do other than chase toilets all over 30,000 acres of salt.  I don't know if I'll type more or less, but I do know that the audio stream will be pretty respectable this time (I say most very modestly ).  We'll have it here on lr.com, and I think it'll be on the SCTA Facebook page, and I don't konw if Bangshift will want it - but you oughta be able to hear the all-day stuff that'll be on the air.

I'll take photos and that stuff - donchu worry.
