Brian, can I get a recommendation for kid-friendly lodging (preferably with a pool) for World of Speed ?  Spousal unit and offspring may require rehydration instead of watching dad wait in line for hours at a time.  Thanks!  -Dano

Great open-air swimming pool at the Nugget! Plus, there are some rooms adjacent to it, with direct access to pool area.

There is a public pool, cheap entry prices. The Montego Bay has an outdoor pool, so does the nugget. The rainbow has a small indoor pool. The Days Inn on the Utah side has an indoor pool too. I would recommend the Montego Bay. It's the nicest.

The nicer hotel next to the Western Ridge has an outdoor pool. Maybe that's "Super 8"?

The public pool in W. Wendover (behind the Tourist Welcome Center, say Hi to Kerri) is about the best place to hang out with the kids.  Lots of shade and lawn and stuff.

Thanks Jon, I think I'll send them there for a few hours each day while I wait in line.  Their website leaves a lot to be desired, but your referral is good enough for me.
