As of '14 the Pilot truck stop had water available outside at a regular spigot - no fees.  Please go inside and ask permission to use it, though.  Don't ask how I learned about asking, okay?

There was a spigot around the back of the truck stop at exit 4, although I don't know how potable the water might be.

I don't recall if Mike Crawford had a working water tap available at the Museum parking lot -- but maybe.

Anybody else got ideas?

bboatman - thanks for taking the time to help us out.  I plan on camping at the "bend in the road".  Is there a place in town to fill up my RV with water?

Great question! I'm guessing that you could fill up at the KOA or Nugget RV park. Besides those two places, I'm not sure.

Try the Smith's gas station at the far West end of town.
There is an "Iowa" faucet in the S.E corner of the retaining wall. (Ask the attendant before just helping yourself; common courtesy.)
However, what was OK 2 year's ago, may no longer work today.

Does Mike still allow waste dumping at an outlet at the Museum site?

We are booked at the Red Garter, we always like to start out with breakfast there anyway. he Salt Flats Restaurant is the place to go for Mexican food for sure.

There was a place that looked like an old Dairy Queen that was remodeled into a Mexican food Restaurant, but it seemed to be closed the last time we were there. Was that the one owned by Manny?

And Oh yell, I may need a few MPH out on the salt while we are there, is there a place in town to buy some of that?

Rouse

Yep, that's the place. It's now called "The Copper Kettle". Very nice and clean now, unlike the past.

I called the Nugget Casino. They STILL HAVE POOL TABLES down in basement bar area. There's a jukebox, as well.

As for the women, I would recommend Wells, Nevada. They have two houses of "ill repute". Prices are steep, from what I hear. As I write this, I'm celebrating my 18th anniversary. I dare not make any more comments on "loose women".
