I don't know yet if I will be flying or driving. There is a possibility I can haul the bike. Contact me by email or cell 641-390-0870. Wayne Atkinson

Kent, if you're in a bind, get back to me REAL QUICKLY!

Nancy and I could go through Des Moines on our way to WF -- it's a little bit longer than going through North Dakota, but not too bad.  BUT--we'll be driving in her car, not the pickup, and either I'd have to get a trailer hitch put on the car and pull our little trailer to carry your bike -- or I'd have to change plans and drive the pickup.

How big's the bike?  How TALL?  Maybe I could get it into the bed of the pickup -- we've put Nancy's EX250 in there.

Let me know pronto -- but going through Des Moines isn't all that much of a big deal for us.  It's boring as hell to drive through Nebraska -- but then, so is it a sleepy time to drive through North Dakota.  Call me at 1 800 800 3945 if you want to save a few minutes.

Kent, if you can pick up my fire suit and gear from Jon and Nancy and I will get it from you at the meeting.

Let me know.

Kent:  We pick up the bike late tomorrow (Friday) afternoon from Brian.  He and I have chatted, made arrangements, and Nancy and I will stay tomorrow night in Des Moines.  The bike should be at the Salt Sunday afternoon.

The bike, according to Brian, is about 79" long.  The bed of my pickup is 78" long, so I've made arrangements to borrow a front end loader  to cram the bike in -- I figure a 15-degree bend in the frame will shorten things enough to make it fit.  Bring a tow chain to straighten it back out when you pick it up, okay?

John:  Your firesuit will arrive at the Salt Sunday afternoon, too.  Are you gonna be there?  Are you gonna need it during WF -- 'cause Nancy and I have been offered the opportunity to ride that 'Vette (never did get to at WoS -- rainout), so we'll use the suit THEN return it.  We're planning on shipping it back to you from Wendover -- but if either you'll be there -- or we can send it with someone else -- that'll be cool, too.  Don't worry about the suit -- if I wear it I promise to be freshly showered.  If Nancy does -- well, I don't think you'd object to a tad of her sweat (per your earlier comments).

Oh - I just re-read your note to Kent.  I'll give him the suit when we're done.  Thanks again.
