If I have say a Camaro running a small block, is there a class I can run nitrous in? If so what class?

        Thanks

I'll defer to the car guys about what class of car does not allow nitrous, but by and large, adding nitrous moves you from "gas" classes to "fuel" classes, that's all.  In bikes, everything but production class allows nitrous (okay, maybe not vintage, but I can be wrong there, too).  All that happens is that you move from gas to fuel, which (basically) doubles the total number of engine classes.

With nos. you will be in fuel class. the cid of motor will determine b,c,d,
If it is street legal  it could run in super street. most likely your car will fit in more than 1 class. These are ecta rules.

At the salt I believe you would be a Fuel/Alt. There is no Super Street class on the west coast. You will need the full safety equipment of a 250 mph car. At WOS maybe you can run the 130 club with less. Or the 150 club. See the USFRA web page for their rules.

Rich:

From the USFRA 150 Club rules:  "Only gasoline, propane, or natural gas fuels may be used - no nitrous, alcohol nor nitro fuel vehicles will be allowed."

From the 130 Club rules:  "Only gasoline, diesel, ethanol, bio-diesel, electric, propane, or natural gas fuels may be used - NO Nitrous Oxide, Methanol, or Nitro-fueled vehicles will be allowed."

So much for putting a bottle on the car and running without all of the safety equipment, hey?

Naw, but the leaves are turning and falling from the trees, and day-before-yesterday, when we woke up, the roof of the barn was all nicely covered with a hard frost.  Temps have been dandy -- highs in the 60s.  Great t-shirt and shorts weather in the U.P.

What's this got to do with the nitrous question?

The nitrous question that started this thread, you San Diego ninny, that's what nitrous question.

As for the 2 Club banquet -- wait a minnit!  I was sitting right up in the front and when you walked past, with your head about ten feet up in the air 'cause of your new hat, I shook your hand and congratulated you and said "Nice Hat!"  It's not my fault that you were so giddy with excitement that you forgot who you talked to. . .

I'll be here most of the day, except if I'm out in the barn doing stuff, in which case leave a message and I'll call you back.  Leave a working number for me to call.
